My Background

I believe that Education is the most powerful tool to change someone’s life and I am committed to supporting pupils to access and reach their potential. I am an experienced and fully qualified primary school teacher. I received a BA and an MA Hons in Politics. I obtained a PGCE and QTLs from Canterbury University.

My Teaching and Tutor Experience

Since 2007, I have been teaching and developing the capacities of students coming from diverse backgrounds and levels which has substantially enhanced my skills to support children. I currently teach in an Outstanding primary school in Bromley where I thoroughly enjoy teaching and keep updated with the latest strategies, exam techniques and permanent curriculum changes. Going to Secondary School is a critical moment for children where they can start a more academic journey, for which they need to prepare in advance.

My tutoring approach

We all have the potential to learn and further develop our Mathematical, Linguistic and Reasoning Skills if we are taught Mindfully. This is only possible when we avoid stressing learners and provide them with a safe and comfortable learning environment. The well being of the child and not a test result is always at the centre of my teaching. Every child that I have taught has made significant progress in their confidence and skills.

11+ Tutoring

Intro Consultation

I offer a one-hour assessment service to analyse the skills of children and how to develop them with the student and their family. After this initial consultation, I follow up with the family to recommend an appropriate service for their needs. I offer a complete package that includes evaluating the student’s current situation and help them to establish reachable goals.

11+ Hourly Weekly Lessons!

I am certain that when we enjoy learning we perform better. The evidence shows that any more than an hour lesson for a primary student is counterproductive. We also tend to learn more from others in small groups so I encourage pupils to join one of our carefully balanced groups.

Spaces Available for the Summer!

Achieving is about practice. Six to eight weeks is too long for your skills to stay on “standby”. If you would like your child to get the best use of their time and prepare for the eleven plus or to join one of our “times tables” workshops. For pupils going to year three or four we still have a few places available.

Multiplication tables and Fractions Workshops Year 2 & 3

Almost 20 years of experience have shown me that “confidence” is by far the most important attitude to learn. Unfortunately, pupils tend to lose self-confidence quite early.

Times tables and fractions are critical areas where pupils decide “I am not good at maths”. Our workshop swiftly develops and secures these areas where children can go back to school feeling reassured and quickly become assertive and self-confident.

Spaces are quite limited and workshops run for 6 weeks in term time or daily during half-terms.
